The Cadbury Dairy Milk bar is one of the brand's most popular and recognizable confections, which is something the new Cadbury Plant Bar takes in stride to offer consumers a plant-based alternative. The candy bar will come in two varieties including Smooth Chocolate and Smooth Chocolate with Salted Caramel, which are both crafted with almond paste to achieve a taste and texture similar to what's possible with milk ingredients. The bars are thus characterized by having a hint of nuttiness and will launch in the UK in November in 90-gram bars for £2.50, and come packaged in wrappers with 100% plant-based packaging.
UK Managing Director at Mondelēz International Louise Stigant commented on the new Cadbury Plant Bar saying, "With 500,000 participants in this year’s Veganuary – double the number of participants from the year before – the increasing public appetite for varied snacking options and plant-based alternatives has never been more apparent. At Mondelēz, evolving consumer demands have long informed our ambition to provide a wide range of products that work for everyone and the new Cadbury Plant Bar range is the latest stop on this journey."
