U.K. startup Cab 4 One is taking the driver out of the equation with its new taxi service. Cab 4 One offers up the Smart Four Two Passion Cdi for travelers looking for a ride to and from their hotels.
Smart Cars are incredibly tiny, meaning that there is only room enough for one passenger and their luggage. On the flip side, Smart Cars are also incredibly fuel-efficient, getting as much as 85 mpg using conventional fuel. Cab 4 One also offers a bike rescue service designed to pick up stranded cyclists.
Cab 4 One was created to help green up the taxi industry. Cab 4 One smartly noticed that a lot of big gas-hogging sedans were being used to ferry around only one or two passengers at a time. Why not let people drive themselves and help out the environment at the same time? Currently, Cab 4 One is only available to travelers in the U.K. with no announced plans of expansion.
