An update to Adobe Scan now gives the unique app the ability to turn business card information directly into smartphone contacts. This new feature approaches the challenge of translating paper to digital and manages to translate and sort data into correct digital parameters. The feature uses an algorithm, as well as Adobe's in-house machine learning platform, to parse business card information.
To use the new feature, users simply need to aim their phone's camera over a business card and line it up in the apps box. From there, Adobe Scan will parse the information and allow users to touch the Save Contact button. Tapping this will add the person's name, company, phone number, email address, and image to a user's contacts. Users that are also Adobe Document Cloud subscribers will also have a copy saved in a cloud storage locker.
