Play and TapNation Launched 'Build Play' to Streamline Development

Play, formerly known as ReadyGG, has launched the Build Play development platform to expand access to Web3 technologies for gaming. The platform aims to lower barriers for game developers by providing them with the tools necessary to integrate blockchain technology into their games. By partnering with TapNation, a mobile game company with 60 million monthly active users and 1.4 billion downloads across more than 50 games, Play seeks to introduce blockchain technology to mobile games, potentially revolutionizing the gaming industry with new monetization models and player engagement strategies.

The Build Play platform includes features such as the Play ID, a community-driven marketplace, and the $PLAY token. These tools were previously reserved for midcore to major studios, but Play is now opening access to anyone ready to build on Web3. TapNation will use Play’s platform to integrate Web3 technologies into its games, starting with Rock Crawling: Racing Games 3D. This partnership is expected to expand the PLAY ecosystem by integrating blockchain features into TapNation’s well-known mobile games.
