River Boat Captains as Swimsuit Models

‘Buffalo Stance' Pirate in Out Magazine

While people await the Sports Illustrated ‘Swimsuit Issue,’ we bring you a cool, marine-themed editorial from the February 2009 ‘Swimsuit Issue’ of Out magazine with model Andres Segura (AKA Kylie Minogue’s rumored current boyfriend) playing captain.

Photographed by Xevi Muntane, the ‘Buffalo Stance’ shows ‘Captain’ Andres styled by Grant Woolhead in the new pieces from the likes of Emporio Armani, Dior Homme, Roberto Cavalli, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dunhill, Dsquared2, Yves Saint Laurent, Jil Sander and American Apparel.

What I love about this feature is that they didn’t go for your typical underwear or swimsuit modeling poses. The editorial has a depth to it, and the swimsuits are part of the story.
