Vacationers in the Parisian city of Roubaix who are looking to take the rough out of "roughing it" now have a new option as the city is offering Bubble Hotel rooms for rent in the local park. The Bubble Hotel rooms were designed by Pierre Stephane Dumas to give people the chance to get closer to nature while living in the lap of luxury.
The rooms were also designed to be eco-friendly and require minimal power to maintain. Guests are encouraged to speak softly as the bubbles are designed to minimize the sound outside and amplify the sound inside. The Bubble Hotel may seem like an odd place to take a vacation, but the rooms are a hit with people shelling out $700 a night to stay in one of Dumas' luxury eco-bubbles.
