The BTWIN E-Fold 900 Folds in Roughly One Second for Portability

The BTWIN E-Fold 900 electric bike from Decathlon is designed with a focus on convenience and ease of use for urban commuters. The bike features a compact design, allowing it to be folded quickly in a single motion, reportedly taking just one second due to a patented automatic locking system. This system simplifies the process by eliminating the need to manipulate hinges during unfolding. Constructed from 6061 T6 aluminum, the frame provides a lightweight yet sturdy structure. The bike’s dimensions when folded are 82 x 73 x 56 cm, making it highly portable and easy to store.

The E-Fold 900 is equipped with a 36V/7Ah seat post mounted battery with a 252Wh capacity, offering a range of up to 55 km. It weighs 19 kg, including the battery and motor, and is powered by a Vision Industry brushless motor located at the rear, providing three assistance modes and a separate walk mode. The motor delivers 250W power and up to 35Nm torque. The bike also includes a Shimano Tourney 7-speed drivetrain, Tektro T275 hydraulic disc brakes, and 20-inch wheels fitted with Schwalbe Big Apple tires. As for pricing and availability, the E-Fold 900 is available in the EU, with prices varying slightly by country; it is listed at €1,749.99 in the Netherlands, €1,709.99 in Spain, and €1,699.99 in France and Italy.
