These photographs from Scottish landscape photographer Brian Kerr are so surreal it's almost hard to believe they are not digitally manipulated. In addition to the natural beauty of the landscapes he chooses, which is something the naked eye can appreciate, Kerr's lens captures a certain light which gives the photos in his portfolio an almost heaven-like air.
The images mostly showcase the land and seascapes from the west coast of Scotland, Northumberland and Cumbria where Kerr currently resides. While some of his photos capture stunning scenery seen by many of the area's passing tourists, Kerr showcases a series of lesser known places. In addition, his career as a landscape photographer began with shots of prehistoric rock carvings which still inspire many of his photo concepts.
Implications - With the rise of CGI and photo editing technology, the number of artists and photographers who use more traditional methods to capture extraordinary imagery is dwindling. As a result, consumers appreciate the raw talent of artists who use these means to shed light and perspective on images not always visible to the naked eye.
