Mario Kart 8 Deluxe fans are receiving even more content as Nintendo has announced the release date and details of the fourth wave of Booster Course Pass DLC. The new content will be available on March 10, 2023, and will include eight courses, one new character, and more.
The highlight of the wave 4 DLC is Yoshi’s Island, a brand-new course inspired by the classic Super Nintendo game. The course features colorful graphics, familiar enemies, and plenty of eggs to throw at your opponents. Yoshi’s Island is also the home of Birdo, who will join the roster of playable racers in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Birdo is a pink dinosaur-like creature who can shoot eggs from her mouth.
The other seven courses in wave 4 are remastered tracks from previous Mario Kart games, such as Sunset Wilds from Super Circuit, Mushroom Bridge from Double Dash!!, Paris Promenade from Mario Kart Tour, and more. These courses will offer nostalgia and variety to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe players.
The Booster Course Pass costs $24.99 and can be purchased from the Nintendo eShop. Alternatively, players can access it through the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription service, which also includes other benefits such as access to Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games.
The wave 4 DLC is expected to be the final update for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, as Nintendo shifts its focus to developing new games for the Switch platform. However, fans can still enjoy racing with their friends and family on this fun and addictive game for years to come.
