Francis Kurkdijan Formulates the New Bonne Étoile for Dior

Francis Kurkdijan has been the director of perfume creation since 2021 and his latest work comes in the form of the Bonne Étoile fragrance. This is the house's latest baby fragrance and joins the house's bath collection. It is made up of a cleanser and moisturizer that is made to be gentle enough to use on children's skin.

The scents comprise rich notes of amber and patchouli paired with lighter and fresh notes of cotton, rose, and pear. The perfumer notes in a press release that "A children’s eau de senteur is closer to a 'smell' than to a complex fragrance trail. It has to be something very simple, natural and reassuring... I was inspired by a round, soft scent, like the smell of the chubby cheeks of a gorgeous baby."
