Fashion label BODE prepared for Spring 2019 with a collection of goods inspired by Indian culture. More specifically, BODE looked to its collaborator Aaron Aujla and his grandfather as an influence -- his grandfather traveled from India to British Columbia many years ago and the label dug into the infusion of his Indian heritage blended with Canadian cultures. The Indian inspiration translates through the many details of the new fashion collection, as the pieces boast heavy pattern and embroidery details throughout.
There are a variety of fabrications used that nod to Indian cultures as well, with the implementation of linens and silks. The hand-embroidered details are the spotlight of the range, along with the vibrant hues and traditional design patterns.
