BMG-10 Beer Packaging Takes an Explosive Aesthetic

With the aim to design a truly explosive brand identity for this fictional beverage, Marco Manansala gave BMG-10 Beer packaging that look of single serving atomic bombs. Containing an alcoholic drink called Black Market Goods in full, the creative strove to explore the theme of the illegal weapon trade.

To make these otherwise generic-looking bottles into miniature 'Big Boy' replicas, a coating of chalky matte black paint was applied to the glass. Shiny yellow caps suggest the product's volatile quality, and finned boxes atop the necks give each flask a nuke-like aesthetic.

The success of BMG-10 Beer packaging is, of course, also in its details. A warning label on the back communicates a government message, and the block letter logo has been taken from model airplane decals.
