Etched Illusionary Wooden Calendars

The Dodecal Block Calendar Displays the Date Contemporarily

In the same way that many refer to time as an illusion, the Dodecal block calendar displays the date in a way that requires the brain to process the illusionary design. Created by UK-based designer Ric Bell, the Dodecal calendar is crafted from a block of wood that has been tailored with care to the exact shape of a dodecahedron (hence the name of the device). The wooden calendar is then treated to two coast of Osmo oil to provide a smooth, impressive finish.

The Dodecal has been laser-etched with each month of the year along with the individual dates to boot. The designer is set to launch just 100 of the Dodecal block calendars for sale at a cost of $79 each. The Dodecal features the month and day layout for the 2017 calendar year.
