Chic Geometric Carafes

The Birdie Decanter by Markus Johansson is Playful and Sophisticated

There is a subtly to the design of the Birdie Decanter that allows it to remain rather abstract in spite of its descriptive name. While the spherical head, cone body and tiny beak could easily be likened to a cartoonish bird, the Birdie Decanter could also pass as a carafe with bold geometric proportions.

Designed by Markus Johansson for Sagaform, the Birdie Decanter nevertheless sports a simple silhouette that is very playful. Yet for all of its playfulness, it has a sophisticated vibe that many adults will appreciate. Also, as Yanko Design points out, "its distinct shape provides a steady, ergonomic grip."

The Birdie Decanter is available in two different sizes, one for wine and the other for water. It also comes in four translucent colors including grey, purple, blue and yellow.
