Disaster House

DH1 Assembles Easily for Urgent Shelter

Here it is Gregg Fleishman designed this marvellous DH1 Disaster House which would also make a fine place for shedworking. It's 14' square, with a 30" high structural floor and is built with sustainable European birch. The plywood is cut into 276 panels or parts of 28 types. Incredibly, the whole thing is assembled without any fasteners. "Combining fun and functionality to create innovative designs for shelter systems, play structures, furnishings and more".

Implications - While many companies feel the pressure to create lavish and aesthetically appealing homes, in reality consumers greatly appreciate designs that maintain functionality and safety.
