Bicycle security has always either come at a price -- in terms of monetary expense or straight-up physical inconvenience -- until now. A Latvian startup by the name of GreyNut has invented a high-tech system, dubbed Bindio, that places a handy lock at a parking spot at the cyclist's destination. This means the cyclist can have peace of mind knowing there's a lock already waiting for them.
Cyclists need to simply sign up to Bindio and use their smartphone app to reserve a dock at their intended destination. Once they get there, they use the app to wirelessly release the dock's steel chain, before running it through their bike.
Bindio is bidding to reinvent bicycle security by reducing cyclists' load and allowing them to feel secure without having to carry a lock around.
