Streamlined Accessible Campers

The Beyond Caravan Welcomes Travelers with Physical Disabilities

Many forms of transportation are quite unforgiving for persons with certain physical disabilities. The Beyond Caravan concept was designed as a barrier-free mobile home that can be enjoyed by people of all ages with different ranges of mobility.

Firstly, Markus Kurkowski's design enables you to lower the camper van down to the ground when it's parked, eliminating the typically elevated entrance. A generous ramp can be pulled out from the door, providing a shallow slope for easy ingress and egress with a wheelchair.

The interior of the Beyond Caravan is spacious, even opening wide to the outdoors for a more pronounced natural connection. The winner of a 2013 Red Dot Design Award, the RV boasts amenities -- such as a bathroom -- that are more accessible than what you'll find in most buildings.
