Irina Kromayer Tackles the Design of Berlin's Château Royal Hotel

Located in the heart of Mitte—the first and most central borough in the city, Berlin's Château Royal hotel positions itself as an authentic and luxurious destination for individuals who are visiting the city. The business is spread across "two buildings dating from 1850 and 1910, as well as a newer building and roof extension designed by David Chipperfield Architects." Recently, the interior of the hotel was updated and this project was headed by Irina Kromayer who tapped Swiss architect Etienne Descloux for assistance.

The interior of Berlin's Château Royal hotel is elegant and almost alluring in its aesthetic. Kromayer pursued an "authentic" feel as she tried to evoke the style sensibilities of 20th-century German design.
