Behr Paints is a brand that was founded in the late 1940s, and Marcella Silva was tasked with the challenge of rebranding this iconic company. She wanted to create something that the consumers could still recognize, but also a packaging that was different than other paints on the market today.
Silva came up with a design that's mainly focused on lettering. The kind of paint is stated at the bottom of the label, with the first letter of the first word blown up and placed above this description. As such, when consumers go to look at this paint on the shelves, they are immediately drawn to the recognizable letterings on the front, which are easily understood. This is also placed on a dark purple background.
