The Bedscapes series by American photographer Skott Chandler portrays disorganized beds as legendary landscapes. Chandler took macro shots of blankets and sheets to turn them into beautiful scenery. The cloth was wrinkled and arranged to form imaginary hills, oceans, mountains, cliffs and canyons. All of this amazing imagery was shot in gritty monotone to augment the surreal effect.
Each of the photos in Bedscapes imitates an actual location on Earth. Chandler chose places from around the world to imitate using bed sheets. Iconic natural locations such as Mount Fuji and the Grand Canyon were mimicked using unmade beds. Amazingly, Chandler also portrayed large bodies of water with the help of some creative lighting. Both the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean were recreated in fine detail.
