Earlier this summer, we saw the reinvented British beach huts for Bathing Beauties. The Bathing Beauties festival has been such a success that the revamped beach huts will travel throughout Europe.
The Bathing Beauties Huts on Parade will tour the UK and France. These revamped beach huts premiered at the National Centre for Craft and Design in 2007 as part of a move to update the dilapidated and old-fashioned British beach huts that dot the coastline.
The Bathing Beauties beach hut tour features 100 scale models by artists and architects that have reinvented the Beach Hut for the first time in 300 years. The exhibition will tour to Montreal in Canada in 2009 and is available to venues until 2010.
