Two New England Restaurants Have Given Away Millions of Meals

Papa Gino's and D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches, two famous New England-based restaurants, have given away over two million basketball consolation meals following the Celtics' defeat in the NBA finals. The restaurants hoped to ease the sorrows of Celtics fans who were invested in the team winning the championships, however, the restaurants were prepared in the event that the Celtics lost.

Following the defeat, Papa Ginos and D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches gave away a free Small Cheese Pizza or a free Small Sandwich to all registered Rewards Members of the respective restaurants only on June 20th. The Chief Experience Officer of the two companies, Deena McKinley, said "We hope this surprise giveaway helps to lessen the sting for local basketball fans and we look forward to celebrating future wins together."
