Vintage Ballerina Editorials

Kent Andreasen Photographed 'Ballet Hall' for C-Heads

It was photographer Kent Andreasen's desire to integrate reflections into his work that lead him to photograph this C-Heads editorial inside of a ballet hall. He explains, "I like the idea of creating images that warp spacial understanding and conventions. So we decided a ballet hall would be great as it has great muted colors as well as long panels of mirror taking up most of the walls."

Models Cordula and Shannon definitely rose to the challenge of playing ballerinas. Throughout the editorial they contort their lithe bodies, dressed in vintage-looking silk slips and body suits, into dancers' poses with great ease.

With the help of stylist Ane Strydom and producer Julia Campbell Gillies, Andreasen has managed to create a beautiful, sensual composition exclusively for C-Heads.
