Backup by BioLite is a Spare Battery for Household Appliances

BioLite has introduced a new home backup power solution, Backup by BioLite. BioLite's solution utilizes thin, compact battery panels designed to fit discreetly behind appliances, providing power for extended periods during outages.

The system is powered by two types of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) batteries, known for their durability and safety: the Backup Core and the Backup Extend. The Backup Core, with a capacity of 1.5kWh, functions like an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). It remains plugged into a standard wall outlet, staying charged as long as grid power is available. It seamlessly switches to battery power during an outage to keep connected devices running without interruption.

One of the standout features of BioLite’s Backup solution is its scalability. Users can expand their backup capacity by connecting up to five Backup Extend units to a single Backup Core, increasing the total power reserve to 9kWh.
