Baby Racing

International Child Protection Day Event

Cheering moms dangle toys and keys to encourage their babies down the 5 metre track in the annual baby races in Vilnius, Lithuania. This year there were 25 competitors between the ages of 7 and 12 months. The 9 month old winner of the event didn't let the crowd and the flashbulbs distract him, and crawled straight down the track into his mother's arms in eleven seconds flat.

Looks like babies might like moms best... most of the racers shown were pictured being 'launched' by dad towards mom as the prize at the finish line!

The race commemorates International Child Protection Day which focuses on children's rights.
