Contemporary Concrete Galleries

Pitsou Kedem Designs Stylish Showroom for B&B Italia

The Israeli architecture firm Pitsou Kedem has created a contemporary gallery for B&B Italia, an Italian furniture design company, in Tel Aviv. The gallery is housed within an old industrial warehouse, but the designers at Pitsou Kedem have revitalized the abandoned building to create an enticing space to showcase B&B Italia's contemporary furniture offerings.

The warehouse features walls covered in concrete panels and silicate panels, as well as a large rusted iron staircase that takes visitors from the entrance to the showroom. Dividing up the space are metal-framed, floor-to-ceiling windows that can pivot like doors, lending a cool modern touch to the area.

According to the designers, the aim of the B&B Italia showroom was to "create a display space that was both impressive and powerful but without detracting from the importance of the furniture on display."
