Shake Shack recently announced that it will now be available for room service at the Chicago Athletic Association hotel. With the growing demand for on-demand food delivery, Shake Shack is cleverly targeting the largely untapped hospitality market.
As of today, guests staying in any one of the Chicago Athletic Association hotel's 241 rooms will be able to order Shake Shack for in-room dining. Guests will be able to order from the chain's entire menu anytime between the hours of 3PM and 10:30PM. In keeping with Shake Shack's commitment to supporting local producers, the ingredients used in the food will be sourced locally from Chicago. The menu will also include special Chicago-inspired dishes such as the Shack-ago Dog and the Publican Pork Sausage.
While it is unclear if Shake Shack fare will be available for room service in any other cities in the near future, the move does demonstrate a new way that brands can capitalize on the rise of on-demand delivery.
