The mobile market is increasing so much that companies are understandably competing to offer the best service in their respective areas; two Australian mobile operators in particular have recently engaged in such friendly competition. Optus and Vodafone have both expanded their LTE networks, with new low-band spectrum.
With total domination in mind, the Australian mobile operators present their customers with a hard yet welcomed choice. Optus managing director of networks Vic McClelland says, "Our aim is to deliver 4G services to more than 200 regional and holiday destinations by April 2015, taking our population coverage to 90% of [the] Australian population." As for Vodafone, the company extends its 4G+ network in Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast and its LTE in New South Wales and Queensland.
