Augmented Feedback Glasses

Glasses from La Universidad Carlos III Shows Student Interest Instantly

Using augmented reality, researchers at la Universidad Carlos III of Madrid have devised a way to help teachers out with their Augmented Lecture Feedback System. The system gauges comprehension levels of a class and reports it back to the teacher while he or she is lecturing. With a pair of glasses, teachers can see exactly how everyone is doing through a symbol over their heads. As a result, the pace of the class can be tailored to exactly what students need.

During class, students are encouraged to use their smartphones in order to indicate their understanding of the material. Students can choose either a check mark, a question mark or an x. The lecturer can then see the symbol hovering over the student's heads.
