Athleta Launches Two New Outlet Stores in Chicacgo and Leesburg

Athleta, an athleticwear brand owned by Gap Inc., has announced the launch of two new outlet stores. One will open at Chicago Premium Outlets in Illinois and the other at Leesburg Premium Outlets in Virginia. According to the company, the new stores are opening as part of Athleta's broader goal to launch 30 to 40 stores in 2022.

The new outlets will differ from traditional Athelta stores, delivering an assortment of key styles at lower price points. Shoppers will still be able to pick up top-selling pieces such as the Conscious Crop, the Momentum Seamless Tank, and the Salutation Stash Tight.

"Our new outlet stores are intentionally designed to stand out from traditional outlet and clearance store models, helping drive new customer acquisition and increased brand awareness for Athleta," said aid Mary Beth Laughton, president and chief executive officer of Athleta.
