Derek Keenan Maked an Upcycled AT-AT Sculpture

If you're a skateboarder or a Star Wars fan then you are sure to get a kick out this AT-AT sculpture made from recycled skateboards.

Measuring 16-inches tall and 17-inches wide, Derek Keenan’s AT-AT sculpture is on display as a part of an exhibit at the Black Book Gallery in Denver. Called Deathstar Blues, the Star Wars exhibit will explore the intermingling of Star Wars and skateboard culture of which art from the former is often used as designs for the products of the latter. This time however, the roles are reversed, as it is now skateboarding designs and logos that are used to create a work of Star Wars art.

The AT-AT sculpture even has articulated joints, making this a sculpture that many fans probably wish they had growing up as kids.
