Caravan-Shaped Artist Studios
Brinkworth & the Wilson Brothers Design an Artist Residency in Milan
This artist residency in Milan is located within the flagship store location of Italian fashion brand Marni. Recently opened to the public, the shop houses the Vehicular installation which was designed by London-based studio Brinkworth and The Wilson Brothers. The Vehicular installation is made up of a caravan-shaped volume on the second floor of Marni's flagship and a sizable sculptural structure that is "suspended vertically through a void in the ground-floor ceiling." The brand new artist residency in Milan will be housed in the former, the caravan-shaped volume. This creative opportunity will welcome artists from around the world and it is a bid to "channel the intense creative energy of [Marni's] design studio into its retail spaces."
