ARtGlass augmented reality storytelling software is coming to the U.S. to bring to life iconic historical sites. ARtGlass has already pioneered augmented reality storytelling throughout Europe and has used its technology to bring to life the stories at the Pisa Tower Square, the Canton Library, the Capitoline Temple and many more. Visitors on ARtGlass tours roam through the historical site while wearing virtual reality glasses that show 3D holograms, videos, pictures, artifacts, architecture and landscapes.
The first U.S. ARtGlass augmented reality storytelling tours will take place at James Monroe’s Highland historical home and at George Washington’s Mount Vernon historical home in Virginia. While details on the tours have been sparse, it is known that the Mount Vernon tour will be 50 minutes in length and will contain 13 stops throughout the vast estate grounds. The tour will begin with a 3D hologram of Washington himself and will include stories about the first president and the people who lived on the estate.
