The images above are from a brilliant art happening, which designer Peter Viksten hosted in Sweden. The guests were invited to arrive at the venue on time as there was a very good, albeit mysterious, reason for their gathering.
The gallery space was fitted with red paintings, sculptures and t-shirts. Each art item had an explanation of ownership printed on it, which you can read on the t-shirt. Translated, it read something along the lines of: This item can be yours for free, if you simply ask for it.
This way the art pieces would be shared from person to person and change owner every time someone claimed it. The only catch, I guess, was that the gallery space was empty very quickly and that people hurried home with their free art. But what a brilliant idea!
I love the good Ecopop site for bringing awareness to good ideas and green thinking. This one is definitely to be shared.
