Jill Townsley's impressive art piece Spoons is constructed using over 9,000 plastic spoons and over 3,000 rubber bands.
Spoons is exhibited at the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in NYC.
The fragility of the installation, contrasted with its sheer magnitude and the huge number of the pieces used result in a unique and captivating piece.
Another impressive piece at MAD is “a mixture of frailties†by artist Susi Macmurry. It is made from latex wash gloves, calico and a tailor's dummy.
One thing I do not like though about these pieces is the use of plastic and latex material which is not a very environmental approach.
