Covid-19 has led to the cancellation of mass gatherings, including Art Basel Hong Kong, which was set to take place at the end of the month. However, in an effort to continue to celebrate art and culture, the festival has announced it will offer online viewing rooms for the first time ever.
These rooms serve as an online space where artists can exhibit their work, and where visitors can browse exhibits, collections and pieces. More than 31 galleries are participating in this online initiative, with more than 2,000 pieces being exhibited at an estimated collective value of $250 million USD.
