The Archos Tablets Are Cheaper, Lighter and There's More Than One

The Archos tablets offer five sleek portable flat screen computers for your viewing pleasure. Starting at $150 for a 3.2 inch screen with 8GB of memory and a 1.3 MP camera, the Archos tablets increase in range until you get to the 10.1 inch 8GB or 16 GB versions. These are set to compete with Apple's iPad but are priced at $200 cheaper.

Thanks to a stainless steel frame, the Archos tablets are significantly lighter than the iPad (the 10.1 is 16 oz compared to the iPad's 24 oz). You can also download apps to your tablet using applib.com, although there are significantly fewer apps available.
