Arca and Jesse Kanda's made a new experimental short film called TRAUMA and the first scene is already pretty unsettling. The short 'Scene 1' starts of with creepy child laughter and features three disfigured babies performing a synchronized dance to Arca's hypnotic music. The deformed kids occasionally morph into strange creatures throughout the clip.
The clip is part of an ongoing project that will be shown in galleries next year.
The experimental music producer and visual artist's collaboration project is a non-linear narrative. The whole film is supposed to be about the death of a salaryman, a drunk driving infant and it all happens in the subconscious world.
The film may be extremely disturbing and yet you can't pull your eyes away. It may be the mind-numbing trance music, the disturbing babies' flawless hip hop moves or everything combined.
