Haphazard brickwork is visible in most rooms of the flat, telling a story of how the building was altered over time, as seen through the interruptions in the repetitive masonry. A whitewash of paint tidies up these rough walls, as well as an original wooden ceiling overhead. Bulky wooden beams are showcased without opaque finishes, alluding to the notion of natural in juxtaposition to the artificial architectural aspects.
