Enjoying a night-out at the movies is one of the many things consumers miss as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, prompting design agency LAYER to imagine what the future of in-person screenings could look like. As a result, the brand created a digital mock-up of anti-virus theatre seats that are both safe and comfortable.
For starters, these seats are knitted with copper oxide threads, which boast antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiviral abilities. This means that it's harder for germs to live on the fabric, providing a safer experience for the dozens daily that will share the space. To make the process of finding one's seat in the dark more seamless, these tech-infused seats arrive with LED lights that project the seat number.
