The Anti Vase acts almost like a coffin for flowers. But instead of shutting the beautiful bloom beneath a heavy wooden lid, it allows its remaining vitality to be put on display before withering away completely. The concept of the Anti Vase might seem a little morbid, but what could be considered truly morbid is the the prolonging of a life cut too short.
Designed by Cake, a studio based in New York City, the Anti Vase also looks like the opposite of a traditional case. In place of pretty glass and a ton of room, it is made out of a dark black material, which has been molded to be able to hold only a single stem. It is quite poetic.
