Looking like something out of the David Cronenberg film eXistenZ, these animal bone guns serve as a creepy yet oddly beautiful reminder of the killing power that weapons have.
They were created by artist Bruce Mahalski who has a penchant for using atypical materials to produce his work. The bones he used for the pieces come from a variety of woodland creatures and, although they look like some sort of destructive demon blaster forged in the pits of hell, the replica guns are all for show and don't actually fire projectiles. This aspect makes them perfect accessories for Halloween costumes.
Although some people might consider it morbid to go out and collect critter remains for the purposes of making animal bone guns, for Mahalski, it's all about art.
