Volvo's XC40 Has a New Information System Based on Android Automotive

Volvo has announced that its new electric XC40 vehicle will use a new information system, which is similar to Android Automotive. The information system will run using integrated technology from both Android and Google. The Android Automotive system will allow drivers to connect with Google Assistant Maps as well as the Playstore. Volvo will fully reveal the new XC40 on October 16th, however, the company has been slowly unveiling aspects of the car to drum up interest in the new EV.

Volvo's redesigned information system will also increase the safety feature of the car. The data from Google Maps will improve the driver assistance features of the system, by providing information on curves as well as speed limits.
