Puerto Rican artist Edwin Antonio is creating elaborate fantasy worlds through his newest LEGO-inspired fashion collection 'Among The Future.' Antonio, who is known for turning museums into catwalks, draws inspiration from the likes of Versace, Marc Jacobs and Chanel to create his newest series, which incorporates fashion and art with LEGO.
To produce Among the Future Antonio digitally replaced the faces of fashion models with a faces from recognizable historic paintings and placed them onto colorful backdrops. Among the Future features what Antonio describes as "enchanting Aphrodites" who "walk under [his] imagination.' The series uses LEGO for its bold colors and unique textures to create a world in which Renaissance women can walk down surreal runways wearing high-fashion attire.
