Burning Inhumane Images

Amnesty International Picture Campaign

Recently, Amnesty International has been extremely active in producing intense and thought-provoking campaigns. The latest addition is "Picture" which was inspired by infamous Abu Ghraib images of prisoners being tortured and ridiculed.

The campaign ingeniously uses the logo of Amnesty International (candle & thorns) as the source of fire to burn and erase these despicable acts against humanity.

The 2008 campaign was created by Unitas/RNL Advertising Agency in Santiago, Chile under creative and art direction by Pancho González and with illustration and photography by Josefina Pro.
