Built into the iOS version of the Amazon app, this new tool uses computer vision to determine exactly which size replacement piece is needed and then allows users to purchase it off the Amazon store. To find the correct piece the Part Finder feature uses AI to identify the piece and processes it against 100 different fastener types featured on the site.
To use the feature users will first need to place the part in question on a white surface next to another item for scale. The app will then instruct users on how to line up their camera and once it has scanned the item it will display some results.
