Convenient Car Deliveries

The Amazon Key In-Car Service Will Let Packages Be Delivered in Cars

The new Amazon Key In-Car service is set to improve the company's convenience by allowing deliveries to be dropped off in the trunk of your car. This new service was recently demonstrated at the Manhattan Classic Car Club and saw a delivery being made and delivered to the trunk of a Chevrolet. As the name suggests, this new program builds off the existing Amazon Key In-Home delivery and will be free for all Prime members.

Volvo and General Motors have already signed up to be the first partners of the Amazon Key In-Car service, which will be available with all 2015 or newer vehicles. The service will require vehicles to have an active OnStar remote access subscription as it will be used through an integrated app for drivers to unlock the trunk. The establishment of the Amazon Key In-Car service not only introduces a new form of delivery for Amazon but also shows Amazon's expansions into keyless entry.
