As of mid-November 2021, Canadian Alexa users can now customize their virtual assistant's voice. The new Amazon Alexa voice options can change when users say, "Alexa, change your voice." There are now two voice options, including the original and the new voice, which are rolling out to all Canadian users in the next few days.
For English and French-speaking bilingual customers, Amazon's virtual assistant can now respond in both languages. To activate this feature, users must enable the multi-lingual mode. In addition to the voice changing option, users can change their wake word in the Alexa app. Voice commanders can choose from a range of existing available wake words such as Alexa, Computer, Echo, and Amazon. Moreover, Amazon's Alexa is adding a new wake word next year: Ziggy.
