This Amarist and Alejandro Monge Designed Sculptural Table is Illusory

If you've ever pondered the relationship of money in relation to time and people, this table designed by atelier Amarist and Alejandro Monge is everything you've been dreaming of. The Too Much? table is a unique sculptural piece that also has a flat top for dining on. The geometric base is full of partially burned Euro notes. The glass cube also has a thin biofuel flame that shoots above the table's surface.

Of course it is not real money, nor is it even really burnt, but the artist Alejandro Monge went to great lengths to make sure it looks realistic. The reproduced bills were individually glued and colored while a hyper-realistic technique was used to replicate ashes.

The artistic table is meant to provoke thought around the concepts of money, time and people. Photo Credits: designboom, amarist
