China Spring Airlines and Raynair have plans to add vertical seating to new flights.
China Spring Airlines says people should be able to get on a plane, just like they would a bus--with no luggage, food or water, but with a secure standing area. The airline says they will be able to fit 40% more passengers on the plane using this method.
After hearing of China Spring Airlines’ plan, Raynair wants to follow suit. The Irish airline says they will be able to fit 30% more passengers and will offer stools to lean or sit on for standing passengers, equipped with lap belts for security.
